Koh Pha-Ngan is situated
in the Southern Gulf of Thailand, 80km from Suratthani, the mainland
district centre. Surat Thani is one of the main transport hubs in the
south of Thailand. From here a host of destinations can be reached by boat, bus, train and even plane from Suratthani is Airport; which is slightly cheaper to fly to and from than Koh Samui and is served by Thai Airways. The nearby Island of Koh Samui has an international airport that receives flights from all over Thailand and Asia. Koh Phangan is a 16km boat journey from Koh Samui with ferries all day. |
